وفد من المؤتمر الشعبي لفلسطينيي الخارج يزور سفيرة النرويج في بيروت تقديرًا لدعم بلادها للقضية الفلسطينية
بيروت – قام وفد من المؤتمر الشعبي لفلسطينيي الخارج، اليوم، بزيارة إلى سفيرة النرويج في لبنان، السيدة هيلدا هارلستاد، وذلك تعبيرًا عن التقدير لجهود بلادها في دعم القضية الفلسطينية في المحافل الدولية، وقرارها الاعتراف بدولة فلسطين.
ترأس الوفد عضو الأمانة العامة ومسؤول منسقية لبنان، السيد طارق عكاوي، وضمّ مسؤولة العلاقات العامة والإعلام في مكتب بيروت، الإعلامية وفاء بهاني.
خلال اللقاء، أعرب الوفد عن شكره للموقف النرويجي الثابت في دعم حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني، مشددًا على أهمية استمرار هذا الدعم في ظل التحديات التي تواجه القضية الفلسطينية. كما ناقش المجتمعون أزمة الأونروا وتداعياتها على اللاجئين الفلسطينيين في لبنان، حيث أكد الوفد ضرورة استمرار الدعم الدولي للوكالة، لما لها من دور أساسي في تقديم الخدمات التعليمية والصحية والاجتماعية لملايين اللاجئين الفلسطينيين.
كما تناول اللقاء المخاطر المترتبة على القرار الأمريكي الساعي إلى تهجير الفلسطينيين من قطاع غزة، حيث شدد الوفد على رفض أي محاولات لفرض واقع جديد على الفلسطينيين، مؤكدًا أن الشعب الفلسطيني متمسك بأرضه ولن يتنازل عن حقوقه الوطنية المشروعة.
من جهتها، أشادت السفيرة هارلستاد بنضال الشعب الفلسطيني وصموده، مؤكدة أنه شعب مثقف يحمل قضيته بوعي وإصرار. كما جددت التزام بلادها بمواصلة دعمها للقضية الفلسطينية، وحرصها على تعزيز الجهود الدولية لتحقيق سلام عادل وفق قرارات الشرعية الدولية.
Delegation from the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad Visits the Norwegian Ambassador in Beirut in Appreciation of Her Country’s Support for the Palestinian Cause
Beirut – A delegation from the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad visited the Norwegian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ms. Hilde Haraldstad, today to express appreciation for Norway’s efforts in supporting the Palestinian cause in international forums and its decision to recognize the State of Palestine.
The delegation was led by Mr. Tarek Akkawi, a member of the General Secretariat and head of the Lebanon Coordination Office, and included Ms. Wafaa Bahani, Head of Public Relations and Media at the Beirut Office.
During the meeting, the delegation expressed gratitude for Norway’s steadfast position in supporting Palestinian rights, emphasizing the importance of maintaining this support amid the challenges facing the Palestinian cause. The discussions also addressed the UNRWA crisis and its impact on Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, with the delegation stressing the need for continued international support for the agency due to its essential role in providing educational, health, and social services to Palestinian refugees.
The meeting also touched on the risks associated with the U.S. plan to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. The visiting delegation strongly rejected any attempts to impose a new reality on Palestinians, affirming that the Palestinian people are committed to their land and will not relinquish their legitimate national rights.
For her part, Ambassador Haraldstad expressed support to the Palestinian people and expressed her sorrow for the suffering and destruction of Gaza. She reaffirmed her country’s commitment to continuing its support for the Palestinian cause and its dedication to enhancing international efforts to achieve a just peace in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.
